If you read this far, you get to hear my funny story. (I'm having the problem, too).
My wife and I just came back from a nice dinner. She had a little bit too much wine to drink. We get home, she goes to the bathroom to tinkle. Being the addict I am, I boot up Eve. She walks down the hall saying "I'm going to lay down on my (vibrating massage) mat for a while."
I jokingly say, "Are you cheating on me with a mat?"
She shoots back with, "Well, you're playing with your girlfriend, Eve!" (She plays, too.)
"Well, at least Eve doesn't VIBRATE!!!"
Hooray, I win an argument with my drunken wife.
It would be nice if they added a "vibrate" feature, though.

Server crashes
In Eve: Forums light up with anguished screams and/or requests for assistance. In 10-30 minutes, harried network technician hastily reboots server. The rightful order is restored within 10-20 minutes.
In WoW: Forums light up with anguished screams and/or threats to cancel accounts because "I don't pay 15 dollars a month to put up with this!!111". In 2-5 hours, apathetic forum mod reports a) "We're looking into it." b) "It's a feature." or c) "The server is going to be wonky for a few days, but we're giving you a few days free." The rightful order does not exist, but the server will come up sometime tomorrow.

Eve devs should be legally allowed to wear an "S" on their chests. Except for Oveur. He gets the Orgasmo symbol.

There's a good chance that you're on the character load screen because the server has to reload all that information. It took me a while, too, but it did eventually load. Patience is key.
